School Spirits may have brought Maddie back to life, but season 3 will introduce new “knots” to be untied

School Spirits season 3 has a few tricks up its sleeve, says series star Milo Manheim

The stars of supernatural teen drama School Spirits never expected the show to last past one season, much less be going into its third, launching January 28 on Paramount+. But what lies ahead for Maddie and the ghost crew of Split River after the second season of the hit show ended with Maddie finally returning with her body after two seasons of ups and downs in which she was... well, kind of dead? (You did see us describe the show as a "supernatural" drama, right...?) As it turns out, Milo Manheim, who plays Wally on the show, is more than happy to dish on what's to come in season 3 of the show.

Manheim addressed the open question of what happens next in an interview with Entertainment Tonight about the show's third season. After all, if Maddie (Peyton List) is alive and back to her old self again, then surely everything is done, right? Apparently, no. “It feels like throughout the whole show, it’s been like, ‘Once we can solve this, then mission accomplished and everything’s fixed.’ But it turns out that once we do get her back, that lots of other things unfold," he teased.

"The writers are really good at every time they tie one knot, they untie like 3 other knots," Manheim added

What kind of knots? Paramount+ has released a trailer for School Spirits season 3, which you can check out below for a sneak peek:

And, of course, it wouldn't be another season of School Spirits without episode titles inspired by iconic teen and/or horror movies. This season has episodes titled "It's A Wonderful Afterlife," "Mean Ghouls," "The Halls Have Eyes," "The Bereftest Club," "Raiders of the Lost Scar," "Children of the Scorned," "Midsomester," and "Dawn of the Deb."

The first 3 episodes will hit Paramount+ on January 28, 2026.
