Netflix has recently confirmed that The Umbrella Academy's fourth and final season will arrive on August 8, 2024.
The news arrives after an excruciatingly long wait for fans of the hit superhero TV series, as it was renewed for season 4 back in summer 2022.
How many episodes are there in Netflix's The Umbrella Academy season 4?
Season 4 of The Umbrella Academy will only consist of six episodes, down from the usual ten, making it the shortest one of the bunch by a good margin. Expect all of them to drop at once though.
What is The Umbrella Academy season 4 about?
Last season ended with the huge twist of a new timeline dictated by the family patriarch, Reginald (Colm Feore), one in which the siblings no longer have their powers. Of course, there are new enemies who want to see them gone as well, but how can they face them without their powers?
According to Emmy Raver-Lampman, who plays Allison Hargreeves, season 4 is "really, really packed with classic Umbrella Academy family nonsense and shenanigans" as well as "some unbelievable new characters and villains." With only six episodes to wrap everything up, we're hoping for an explosive conclusion full of shocking surprises and big payoffs that hits the ground running.
