DC's Batman plans for June 2024 include Batman vs Batman Showdowns, Victorian Batmen, and lots of Tim Drake

Things in Gotham City are headed towards disaster in this June's Batman comics... but what does that mean for the rest of the world?

It’s the end of an era for DC in June 2024, with the final full month of the 'Dawn of DC' — and also the end of the 'House of Brainiac' crossover in the Superman titles. What do these two events have in common? I’m glad you asked, because the answer is the oncoming event that is Absolute Power, in which Amanda Waller puts her master plan into action and tries to save the DC Universe from… itself…?

(As if that weren’t enough, Nightwing’s origin is getting the anniversary treatment, and longtime Superman villain Brainiac is coming clean about his new origin.)

When it comes Amanda Waller and her secret plans... well, they're not something that she's going to be able to do alone, of course, and that’s where Batman comes in. Or, rather… a Batman. Anyone who’s been paying attention to Chip Zdarsky’s run in the main Batman book knows exactly what I’m talking about, and events seem to be coming to a head in June’s issues, as we teased a Batman vs. Batman showdown that… honestly, might not turn out too well, judging by the copy for Batman #149. (No, really, just wait until you see it.)

That’s far from all you can find in the Batbooks in June, however — there are some amazing collected editions — that Tim Drake compendium alone looks amazing! — and the return of the Elseworlds line with a brand new Batman: Gotham by Gaslight book… and so much more! What kind of more? Well, just read on, chums.

Humanity had its chance. Now it’s time for Poison Ivy. Pamela Isley has been a lot of things in her life: a living god, a super-villain, an activist, a scientist, and a dead woman. In a new body that she didn’t ask for and with a renewed sense of purpose, Pamela continues her mission to heal the planet by setting her sights on some of the worst offenders humanity has to offer. From fracking girlbosses to celebrity health gurus, Ivy’s violent and tragic journey across the American landscape continues. Along the way she makes a new ally and gets a visit from the love of her life, Harley Quinn, as the body-horror-infused, character-defining epic from the visionary creative team of writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Marcio Takara continues. Collects Poison Ivy #7-12.
