The announcement that Netflix would be going forward with not just the third season but also Bridgerton season four sent all of us into a flutter. The angst. The drama. The luscious period costumes! With season three due out later in 2024, we can’t help but look forward to the potential Bridgerton season four release date and begin the fervent speculation about when it will be.

As of yet, there hasn’t been an official announcement from Netflix of when season four of Bridgerton will air. Obviously, we’ll probably have to wait until after season three airs, but we can make some guesses based on how long there has been between each season in the past.

The first season of Bridgerton landed on Netflix in December 2020 with the second season announced a month later. That season wouldn’t air until March 2022, more than a year later. Season three is due out in May and June 2024, more than two years after the previous season, though Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story came out in May 2023 to fill in that gap.

With that in mind, it looks like a new Bridgerton season comes out a little more than a year after the previous one. If season four of Bridgerton’s release date follows suit, we could expect it to come out in Fall 2025, provided there are no production delays along the way. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if Netflix pushes Bridgerton season four to 2026 simply so the show doesn’t have to compete with the likely release date of Stranger Things’ final season, which could land around Halloween 2025.

Likewise, it is possible that the early announcement of Bridgerton season four could speed up production of the show and move the release date forward slightly, but we would be very surprised if it comes out earlier than April 2025. We think an early 2026 release date is more likely at this point but we won’t know anything until Netflix makes an official announcement.
