Image Comics will no longer be available through Diamond Comic Distributors starting early February, following distributor's bankruptcy announcement
Lunar Distribution, which had been selling Image titles to Diamond to distribute, is owed almost half a million dollars by Diamond

The first aftershocks of Diamond Comic Distributors’ Chapter 11 filing are being felt across the comic industry, with Lunar Distribution announcing that Diamond will no longer be distributing Image Comics titles beginning with titles released early February.
Technically, Diamond Comics Distributors was actually redistributing Image Comics books; the publisher signed a worldwide exclusive distribution deal for single issues with Lunar Distribution back in May 2023 that allowed for Diamond to purchase stock from Lunar and ship it to retailers who chose to order that way. This cut-out clearly didn’t necessarily work out the way all parties had hoped; according to Diamond’s bankruptcy filing, the company owes Lunar Distribution almost half a million dollars in unpaid fees. (The specific number given is $496,967.)
Lunar notified comic store owners Monday to tell them that orders made through Diamond as of January 13 will be honored, but Lunar will fulfill those orders. Those issues are due in stores in the first week of February. Any Image Comics graphic novels and collected editions ordered through Diamond will also be fulfilled by Lunar Distribution.
Image Comics has yet to comment on the new distribution arrangement.
