Popverse is already at Seattle's Emerald City Comic Con 2026... where are you?

Emerald City Comic Con 2026 kicks off in Seattle as Popverse brings live coverage, panels, and DC reveals.

Popverse’s coverage of Emerald City Comic Con is brought to you by Signet Collectibles, the go-to place for authentic autographed items! Embrace your collecting Journey.

We're here on the precipice of our first big convention of 2026: Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle. Split across two buildings and a dozen rooms, ECCC (or 'E triple C' as it's colloquially known to some) is in many ways the most preternatural of the ReedPop shows; it wears its PNW roots on its sleeve, and our VP of the Comics Portfolio, Kristina Rogers, is a proud original of ECCC, going back to its independently-owned roots.

This year's ECCC is leaning into its roots of comics, community, and Critical Role. Sure, there's celebrities to be found (including comics' greatest ambassador Steve Lieber!), but I like to think of comic cons — especially Emerald City Comic Con this year — as a pop culture crossroads, bringing the best of a Gen Z street market with comic staples, and thousands of people to glance upon reverently (those cosplayers!). To help document all that happens, Popverse has on-site our editor Graeme McMillan, video producer Ashley V. Robinson, staff writer Grant DeArmitt, and the postmodern video cowboy that is Martin Vavra to write, film, host, snap a photo, and soak in everything these five days of ECCC have to offer.

'... isn't ECCC just four days?'

Yes, ECCC is just four days... but our team is already onsite, setting up our bespoke video interview suite The Pop Spot, bedazzling our members-only Popverse Superfan Lounge, and getting an early word with the creators, executives, celebrities, and fellow ReedPop co-workers as they put on the biggest con in the Pacific Northwest.

We want to give a big thanks to Signet Collectibles, who is supporting us so we can support you with all of the ECCC 2026 coverage — in panels, in articles, and in videos. Signet is the go-to place for authentic autographed items, and they're here as well, getting some choice sigs that you will be able to order from home.

We have a guide to where to find Popverse during ECCC 2026, and we've already let our Popverse members submit questions in advance for our scheduled conversations with Gail Simone, Karl Urban, Critical Role, Ming-Na Wen, and more on the ECCC Main Stage and over in the Pop Spot. We will be livestreaming for free all of the ECCC Main Stage panels, then the VOD versions of all those panels and more are joining the hundreds of panels Popverse has filmed from previous ECCCs, NYCCs, C2E2s, and more that are predominantly members-only

What am I most excited for? Right this moment on a Thursday morning, it's Saturday's 'DC Comics: What's Next?' panel, where I look forward to Graeme live reporting with me (and you!) some new details about the publisher's 2026 plans. Come on Jim Lee, give me that Ladytron comic you know I want.

Come back each day to ThePopverse.com (and this very article!) as we get you what's happening at Seattle's Emerald City Comic Con 2026.
