May we all live with Michael Rooker's chaotic cuteness energy (AKA Seattle's ECCC 2026)

This year's ECCC at the Seattle Convention Center (both of 'em!) was a con and a half, and not just because it was four days (five if you have a backstage pass like us)

Popverse’s coverage of Emerald City Comic Con is brought to you by Signet Collectibles, the go-to place for authentic autographed items! Embrace your collecting Journey.

A four-day convention can make you lose track of time. But just like Michael Rooker, who showed up late to the Guardians of the Galaxy panel he was a guest on, it all works out in the end — especially when you get into it with the fans.

This year's ECCC at the Seattle Convention Center (both of 'em!) was a con and a half, and not just because it was four days (five if you have a backstage pass like us). On-site was Popverse editor Graeme McMillan, video producer Ashley V. Robinson, staff writer Grant DeArmitt, and video cowboy Martin Vavra, assisted by our marketing team of Nathan Clark and Jeremy Ross ReedPop's senior director of digital James Goddu. Along with that we had photographers James Coletta and Sanae Ohno, Pop Spot PA Devin Wilson, and the best of the best from Paragon and Reaction AV.

What did we do? A lot. We hosted 11 panels including our inaugural Popverse Pop Quiz, and celeb-stuffed panels with the casts of Guardians of the Galaxy and The Boys. Backstage at our Pop Spot video suite, we filmed over a dozen interviews you'll be seeing pop up on your YouTube page in the coming weeks, including our chat with Critical Role's Matt Mercer, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham. In addition to that, we filmed our Artist Alley Asks video series (also on our YouTube now!), and went to several panels and tracked down several people for interviews.

We also broke news that the hit webcomic Check Please! is getting a TV adaptation. Among other things.

While that is going on, our friends at Human Being - James Colette and Sanae Ohno - have snapped shots of some of the best cosplay around, which we're collecting over in our ECCC 2026 Cosplay Gallery.

We want to give a special shout-out to Signet Collectibles who are graciously supporting all of the ECCC 2026 coverage — in panels, in articles, and in videos. Signet is the go-to place for authentic autographed items, and they're here as well, getting some choice sigs that you will be able to order from home.
