It's no real surprise, but it's finally officially been confirmed: 2023's hit horror movie Five Nights at Freddy's is officially getting a sequel. After lots of speculation and even the actors speaking out about wanting to make a sequel, the official news was announced at Universal's presentation at CinemaCon, alongside a general release season for the movie of Fall 2025.
Five Nights at Freddy's was one of the biggest horror hits of last year, garnering almost $300 million dollars worldwide. The first movie was based on the hit game of the same name, with a protagonist stuck overnight at a pizza and entertainment center alongside some terrifying mascots posessed by the souls of dead children.
