Time for a gamechanger: Sam Reich wants more Dropout on Blu-ray by Christmas this year

Reich's Game Changer is on Blu-ray now (and selling quite well), but by the end of the year, the Dropout CEO hopes you'll be seeing more quirky comedy in physical media

If Sam Reich gets his way, more Dropout programming is going to be getting the physical media treatment by the time Santa's stuffing stockings this year. And as you know if you're a Game Changer fan at all, Sam Reich has a tendency to get his way. The show, and much of the culture that surrounds it, is a direct result of his offbeat (cruel?) sense of humor.

Reich recently spoke about the current status of Dropout programming with the gang over at Polygon. At one point in the discussion, the fact came up that Dropout's post-modern game show, Game Changer, is currently available on Blu-ray... and selling like absolute hotcakes ever since it made the jump. In fact, as of this writing, the Blu-rays are on their second wave of sales since, when the announcement dropped, the copies sold out almost instantly.

"[I]t’s a little more complicated than you might think, making them," Reich said on the subject of producing more copies, "But my mission is to try to have a more robust offering of Blu-rays by the holiday season of 2026."

Take note, reader - Reich doesn't specify here what that "robust offering" might entail. The obvious next choice would be further seasons of Game Changer, but keep in mind that arguably their most popular offering is TTRPG actual play series Dimension 20, which we know Reich already has plans for in the form of an at-home game. Could an actual play Blu-ray (which would be the first of its kind) be on its way as well?

We'll be keeping you posted as to the status of Dropout's next physical drop the next time we get information about it. In the meantime, the Sam Reich-hosted Game Changer seasons 1 & 2 are available on Blu-ray over at the Dropout merch store.
