Grounded 2 release date: More big adventure on a small scale in the console and PC sequel

Explore a REALLY big park in Grounded 2, coming to console and PC this summer

Everyone knows that to a child, the local park can be a mysterious realm full of fun and excitement. But when the release date for Grounded 2 on Windows and Xbox Series X/S arrives this summer, players get to take that adventure to the next level. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment and Eidos-Montréal, the game allows players to take control children who have been shrunk down to microscopic size and must survive in a now giant-scale park. So when can you expect to load up the game for yourself?

The Grounded 2 release date is July 29 on Windows and Xbox Series X/S. The game is, of course, a sequel to Grounded, which debuted on Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S around three years ago, in September 2022. More recently, the first Grounded game was also released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in April 2024. This summer has enough gaming releases to fill a giant backyard, so you will need to plan your virtual excursions accordingly. In the meantime, here's the trailer for Grounded 2:

While the first Grounded game followed four teenagers who were shrunk down to microscopic size and left to fend for themselves in a mad scientist's backyard. In Grounded 2, the quartet is once again shrunk to a tiny scale. But this time, they're going to have to survive in Brookhollow Park, a local suburban park, rather than a backyard. Over the course of their adventures, they'll face the threat of now giant-sized insects. But they'll also get the chance to tame and even ride insects themselves. Set in the 1990s, Grounded 2 promises more microscopic retro adventures for those who dare to think small.

Grounded 2 will be released on July 29 on Windows and Xbox Series X/S.
