Ghosts just wrapped up its fifth season on CBS, and both the cast and fans are delighted that the legend of Woodstone Manor continues. Many shows have come and gone since Ghosts first hit the airwaves in 2021, but the CBS show has established itself as a bona fide pop culture stalwart in these uncertain times.
Over the course of Ghosts' tenure, the show's cast has figured out why the show continues to work the longer it is on the air. In a conversation with our video producer, Ashley Victoria Robinson, as part of the Popversations video interview series, Asher Grodman, who plays Trevor on Ghosts, shed light on the community feel that the Ghosts set has.
“One thing that I have learned, that we’ve all learned, and we’re very grateful for this, is we have a really great cast dynamic, and great crew. And I think we’ve all had experiences guest-starring on other shows, I’m not saying this was Elementary, where... there’s skepticism around your mere presence being there, you’re certainly an outsider," Grodman began. "But it is that thing where in a football game, you’re a receiver who steps in to catch one pass and you step off and we’re never going to see you again… It’s very hard to come on and guest star on the show, and I think we try to make a point on our show of making it very friendly, very welcoming. And having a really fun set.”
It seems that, for shows like Ghosts, that span multiple seasons, having that cast and crew chemistry is key to the long-term survival of the show. It's a sentiment that actor Thomas Jane echoed while speaking about the positive experience he had on The Expanse.
