It’s been two months since the Stranger Things series finale, and the discussion hasn’t died down. Everyone seems to have their own theories about the fate of the Upside Down and if Eleven survived. Don’t forget, we never saw a body, and if you’ve watched enough science fiction and fantasy shows, then you know that means the character likely survived.

Even Eleven’s nemesis Vecna isn’t buying her death.

“I always thought she was alive,” Vecna actor Jamie Campbell Bower says during a spotlight panel at Emerald City Comic Con 2026. “I never thought that she ever died, even reading the script during that readthrough. I always held the belief that she was somewhere safe. And what’s my evidence? I don’t have any. Just my gut and emotions.”

Eleven will return this April in the animated series Stranger Things: Tales from ’85. However, this will be a prequel set between seasons two and three. Brooklyn Davey Norstedt will be voicing Eleven in place of Millie Bobby Brown.

Is it possible we’ll find out Eleven survived and see the character again in another project? Stranger things have happened…
