Wizards Beyond Waverly Place season 2 release date: When the beloved sequel series returns to the Disney Channel+

The sequel to Wizards of Waverly Place, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, is getting a second season. And yes, you can expect to see Selena Gomez return as Alex Russo, at least in a guest starring capacity. Season 2 of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will be coming to Disney Channel this fall. So when can you expect the release date for the series to arrive?

The Wizards Beyond Waverly Place season 2 release date is September 12. The episodes will subsequently be available for streaming on Disney+ beginning on October 8. It will have been a few months since the previous season concluded in February 2025. The second season will be comprised of ten episodes, which will air on a weekly basis after the two-episode premiere on September 12. Fifteen years after Wizards of Waverly Place concluded, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows the now-grown-up Justin Russo (David Henrie). In the intervening years, Justin has been leading a non-magical life raising his sons Roman (Alkaio Thiele) and Milo (Max Matenko) alongside his wife, investigative reporter Giada (Mimi Gianopulos). But things take a turn for the magical when Justin's sister Alex (Gomez) asks him to take in and train the young wizard Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown). Soon, the Russo family is embroiled in a world of magic, while still having to juggle the responsibilities of their normal, mortal lives.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place season 2 will debut September 12 on the Disney Channel.
