Batman hits a milestone (and has to deal with the consequences) in DC's big July 2024 plans for the Dark Knight and family

Get ready for an anniversary issue of the Batman title that won't make Bruce Wayne too happy, as Absolute Power hits the Dark Knight where it hurts

Popverse's top stories of the day

If there’s one thing we know about absolute power, it’s that it corrupts absolutely — but if there’s a second thing, it’s that it’s sure to make the DC comic book universe an entertaining place across summer 2024, thanks to the big event launching this July. Amanda Waller is making her big move and that means that things aren’t going to go well for the Man of Steel and his fellow superheroes. Meanwhile, The Penguin's secret mission comes to an end, and We3 gets an anniversary re-release to remind us that we're all old. (And that's not mentioning the hints that Poison Ivy is about to die...)

Gotham City is as busy as ever in July, as Absolute Power hits the Dark Knight where it hurts - right when he had a special anniversary issue to enjoy, as well. Elsewhere, Ram V's operatic Detective Comics run continues its latest stanza, Jason Todd's miniseries comes to a close, and things aren't looking too good for one Ms. Selina Kyle, whose time on the moral edge might be causing more problems than even she can deal with. Oh, and if you look at the collected editions, you might want to remember that there's a new Joker movie coming out soon...

What we're saying, basically, is that there's more than enough going on in DC's most crime-ridden city to keep an army of Dark Knights busy. Keep reading to find out what to expect this July.

But Dr. Ben Arnell is sure that he will be the one to finally reach the man inside the madness—and cure him. And he’s absolutely certain that no matter what he goes through at work, he can keep that darkness far away from his family. He is very, very wrong.
