In the multi-platform game from Level-5, players will take control of a new character as they work through story mode

Do you have what it takes to emerge victorious from a hyperdimensional football RPG? Then you'll want to strap on your cleats and prepare for the ultimate sporting challenge! In Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road from Level-5, players will take control of a new character and work their way up to the big leagues. The release date for the long-awaited game is coming up this summer. So when can you expect to play Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road for yourself?

The Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road release date is August 21 on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S. The long-awaited game was originally announced nearly a decade ago, in 2016. Back then it was titled Inazuma Eleven Ares, and was meant to be released in 2018. In the intervening years, the game has been delayed several times, and undergone at least one more name change, being temporarily known as Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes from 2019 to 2022. In the summer of 2025, it's one of many exciting gaming releases. Here's a trailer for the game:

In Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, players will step into the role of Destin Bellows. Through his friends at South Cirrus Junior High School, Destin rekindles his love of football. This leads to the group working towards the revival of the football club. But in order to emerge victorious, they'll have to beat the reigning champions at Raimon Junior High. By completing missions, players will work towards becoming the top football team in Japan. And on top of that, there are plenty of side quests to complete along the road to victory!

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will be released on August 21 on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S.
