Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound release date: Hack and slash with The Game Kitchen this summer

Get ready for side-scrolling action in the spinoff game Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound on consoles and PC

Can't get enough of the long-running Ninja Gaiden game series? Then prepare for the release date of a hack and slash side-scrolling incarnation from The Game Kitchen: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. This summer, the single-player 2D platforming action adventure game is arriving on consoles and PC. Prepare yourself for classic pick-up-and-play fighting as you embark on this all-new adventure in the world of Ninja Gaiden!

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will be released July 31 on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The Ninja Gaiden series originated over three decades ago, with an arcade version that was released in 1988. While the original arcade game had players controlling an unnamed character, the series eventually shifted to featuring Ryu Hayabusa as a protagonist. In a summer filled with exciting gaming releases, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is sure to hold its own. Here's the game's trailer:

In Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, Ryu has travelled to the United States in honor of his father's will. But while Ryu is away, the barrier between the demon world and human world is unexpectedly shattered. This leads to an attack on the Hayabusa Village. In order to protect the people of the village, players will take control of aspiring ninja Kenji Mozu, who must step up to the plate in Ryu's absence. Combining old- and new-school gameplay elements, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will grade players after each increasingly-difficult level of the game. Can you save the village, or will the demon army prevail?

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will be released July 31 on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
