After the Red Hulk marketing blitz failed to help Captain America 4 enough, Marvel Studios is holding back on full-on Galactus and Clobberin' Time for the Fantastic Four movie
You have to pay for Clobberin' Time. The price, one ticket to the Fantastic Four: First Steps movie.

The struggles of Marvel Studios’ previous unassailable box office track record continue as both Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* (or whatever it ended up being called) have struggled to bring people into the cinemas. Now the MCU’s 2025 hopes all hang on The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which clobbers into theaters in July. Now it looks like Marvel is taking a slightly different tactic in the final trailer for Fantastic Four; holding back the good stuff until you’ve paid for your ticket.
There is a lot happening in the latest trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but what is more remarkable is just how much is missing. Throughout the trailer, multiple people (mostly himbo supreme Johnny Storm) egg on The Thing to say his iconic line, but the trailer seems to cut short just before he (begrudgingly) utters, “It’s Clobberin’ Time.” Similarly, we see a lot of bits of Galactus, but never his face and never enough of him to get an idea of what he’ll look like in the movie. Certainly no giant space cloud like we saw in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, but he is definitely and intentionally obscured.
This is a marked shift from what we’ve seen from Marvel marketing in the past, which proudly displayed Red Hulk in all the posters, trailers, and marketing and ruined the third-act twist. It also implies that Marvel knows we’re all waiting for certain things from Fantastic Four. The Thing is going to Say The Thing and they’re going to show Galactus in all his big, purple glory. The difference here is that Marvel wants to make sure we all pay for the pleasure.
