When I Saw the TV Glow debuted in 2024, it became an instant queer cinematic cult classic. And soon, director Jane Schoenbrun will be bringing you something slightly different: a queer slasher film. So, when can you expect the theatrical release date for Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma to arrive?

The Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma release date is August 7th, 2026 in theaters. The movie will enjoy a limited theatrical release thanks to Mubi. Before it comes out in August, however, it will have its world premiere in May 2026 at the 79th Cannes Film Festival. And while Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma may be one of the most exciting movie release dates of the summer, there are plenty of additional movies coming to the big screen you'll want to catch as well. In Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, a queer filmmaker (Hannah Einbinder) who is attempting to reboot a popular slasher film franchise. But after she casts the actress who played the final girl in the original film, she finds herself drawn into a dangerous world she might not be able to escape. Alongside Einbinder, the movie also boasts Gillian Anderson. In addition to Einbinder, the movie also stars Dylan Baker, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Arthur Conti, Zach Cherry, Amanda Fix, Patrick Fischler, Jack Haven, Kevin McDonald, Sarah Sherman and Quintessa Swindell.

The release date for Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma in theaters is August 7th, 2026.
