Bridgerton's Charithra Chandran joins One Piece season 2 as Miss Wednesday/ Nefertari Vivi
We're ready to get our whole heart broken by her all over again.

The cast of the Netflix live-action One Piece show continues to grow this week. Not only have we gotten the likes of Dr. Kureha and Nefertari Cobra, but we have also found out who is going to fill the role of the mysterious Miss Wednesday – and it is someone that Bridgerton fans are very familiar with.
Charithra Chandran is best known for her role as Edwina Sharma in season two of Bridgerton, but she’ll soon be setting sail for the Grand Line as Miss Wednesday. Netflix’s messaging hasn’t mentioned it, but fans of the original manga and anime will pretty quickly guess at Wednesday’s dual identity as Nefertari Vivi, princess of Alabasta and one of the main protagonists of the Alabasta Arc. That is, of course, if the show isn’t throwing a curveball at fans to keep us on our toes.
While Netflix has made plenty of changes to the One Piece anime already, we don’t imagine they’d go so far as changing that particular reveal. Instead, it may get pushed to the very end of the season to further set up One Piece season three, which hasn’t been officially confirmed yet but looks fairly likely considering how the second season is stopping at the end of the Drum Island Arc. That means that Chandran is going to have some pretty heavy lifting from an acting standpoint to pull off the emotional moments at the end of the Alabasta Arc.
Vivi’s return home and the struggle to save her homeland from the nefarious Baroque Works organization are the beating heart of One Piece at this point and we can’t wait to see how Charithra Chandran pulls it off.
Charithra Chandran is playing Miss Wednesday/Nefertari Vivi in One Piece season two, which has been confirmed for a 2025 release window.
