Alex Rochon has a special relationship with Caine, his character on The Amazing Digital Circus. Caine is a ringmaster AI, who torments the humans trapped in the circus, while Rochon is a voice actor and content creator. At first glance, it might seem like they have nothing in common other than their voices, but Rochon doesn’t see it that way.

“Caine is so unapologetically himself that he just kind of wears all of his many passions on his sleeve,” Alex Rochon says during a panel at Florida Supercon. “I love that for him too."

Rochon has been open about his diagnos of Autism and ADHD, and has spoken in the past about how it informs his voice acting and his dislike for masking himself. Its in that way (among others) that Rochon finds a connection with his Amazing Digital Circus character of Caine, who he has said is coded as neurodiverse.

"People in the autistic community talk about the subject of masking a lot. I did not mask growing up. I was unapologetically forward about every interest I ever had, to the chagrin of some. It was a little tough to fit in, but I stayed true to myself, and here I am now, and I kind of want to give Caine the same kind of grace and say keep loving what you love man.”
