Why Daredevil's season 1 suit will always be Deborah Ann Woll's favorite
"I don't like superhero suits," said Woll, who plays crimefighter and sometimes Matt Murdock love interest Karen Page, "It looks like underwear."

When the convention ends, the adventure continues at Broward Center and The Parker, sponsor of this article.
There were no shortage of Daredevil cosplayers at Florida SuperCon 2026, and we imagine that their primary destination that weekend was the Daredevil: Born Again panel. And while they were probably not surprised to hear behind-the-scenes tidbits and see some costar-on-costar teasing on stage, they might've been shocked to learn that star Deborah Ann Woll liked some of their cosplays a lot more than some others.
By a wide margin.
Let's back up a bit here. The panel Woll was a guest on, along with costars Charlie Cox and Wilson Bethel, was in the fan Q&A format, hosted by Popverse's own Ashley V. Robinson. And at one point in the discussion, one cosplaying fan stood up to ask which of the many outfits that adorn both the Netflix original series and Disney+ update of the Marvel Comics series was each actor's favorites.
"I've always been a fan of that very first one," answered the True Blood star, "The full-on like black outfit that it looks like you bought the vigilante that you bought at the thrift store."
But it's not just the DIY feel of the suit that makes it stick for the Tales from Woodcreek GM.
"I don't like superhero suits. It looks like underwear," she continued, "It looks like pajamas to me. I like [the first suit] because it felt grounded and real. Part of what I love about Daredevil, especially in the beginning, is the only buy-in was that supersonic hearing. Everything else was a crime drama that had some like grounding and reality in it. So, I always really liked that because it felt real. It felt like a real guy who needed something to wear and he found something and it worked."
Speaking personally here, reader, I don't disagree with Woll here. That said, it's very hard to imagine a low-budget Daredevil hooking up with She-Hulk, so I can also understand where the costume department is coming from.
Daredevil: Born Again season 3 is set to arrive on Disney+ in March of 2027. In the meantime, you can watch the entire Daredevil: Born Again panel at Florida SuperCon 2026 right here.
