Deborah Ann Woll misses one thing about Netflix’s Daredevil: Karen Page’s quiet moments
Woll, who has been playing Karen Page in Marvel's TV sector since 2015, looks back fondly on the show's Netflix era for one particular character-focused reason

Here's a question I'm going to whisper to all you Daredevil: Born Again fans - do you ever miss the Netflix era? I know, I know - it's crazy cool that we're getting a Bullseye who actually gets to dress like Bullseye and seeing Muse in live action was as horrific as we hoped it would be - but aren't you occasionally kind of nostalgic for when Marvel Comics' street-levelest hero was just figuring out how to make it on TV?
Well, Deborah Ann Woll does, especially when it comes to Karen Page.
Woll recently spoke to Popverse's Ashley V. Robinson at Florida SuperCon 2026, where she attended a fan Q&A panel alongside costars Charlie Cox and Wilson Bethel. At one point in the jam-packed discussion, one traveling fan asked the assembled actors what side of their characters they wished the audience could see more of. It was Woll that answered first.
"I think Karen is a sort of profoundly lonely person," the True Blood star began, "I think home has been an amorphous quality - for her, home has been Matt and Foggy. So when Foggy died, half of that went away."
The idea of Karen experiencing such profound loss apparently made Woll wish her character got to sit with emotions like it on camera, a little bit like she used to during the show's Netflix days.
"Sometimes I miss the quiet moments with Karen." Woll continued, "So much of my job on this show is kind of showing up and boosting and supporting and like pushing plot along and a lot of that. And I I don't always get moments for Karen to just kind of exist."
"Part of that's been good," clarified the Tales from Woodcreek GM, "Because it's meant that she's maybe someone who doesn't rest, who doesn't ever stop, because if you do, you have to start to come to terms with the multiple traumas that have occurred over the last few years. But those are some of the moments I miss. I would be curious to just sit with her at some time, moments where they're slower."
Well, we'd be curious, too, Deborah. Hell, we'd be curious about anything that gets us more Karen Page screentime. Maybe somebody should talk to Jon Bernthal about that - guy seems pretty good at knowing how to wrangle a Daredevil spinoff.
