Be patient with Jax, they seem to have misplaced their mind.

If you’ve seen The Amazing Digital Circus, then you know that one of the worst things that can happen in the virtual reality world is getting abstracted, a process where you lose your sanity and sense of self. The process, which is irreversible, eventually happens to Jax in the final episode of the web series.

But what if the process wasn’t irreversible? What would happen if Jax were to somehow unabstract?

“That would defeat the purpose of Jax’s character arc,” Jax voice actor Michael Kovach says during a panel at Florida Supercon. “However, I think Jax would probably hopefully be a better person and not go back to old habits. But you know, it’s a hard thing to unlearn some things, so it would probably be a bit of a journey for them still. But hopefully with time, they could get better.”

“I mean, if Caine can die and be like, 'Oh my god, I messed up,'” Caine voice actor Alex Rochon says. “It sounded like Jax might have been on that way when he was talking to Pomni in his mindscape. It’s just a matter of whether or not he sticks it. Personally, I’m very doubtful.”

“I think Jax coming back would undermine the purpose of the story and their story,” Ragatha voice actress Amanda Hufford says. “I know that’s hard, but it’s hard on purpose. It’s a story of consequences, and hopefully you choose different paths than Jax did. But, in that universe where it did happen, I think it would be more about the characters, and how much they’ve grown. How would they respond to seeing someone who’s put them through a lot of trauma again? I would really hope that Ragatha has learned enough about herself and what she deserves to be able to stand up to Jax.”
