Hit Webtoon Eleceed is (finally) getting a print edition, and we have a first look

Every cat owner always has the sneaking suspicion that their feline companions are secretly running the show. Sure, they may seem lazy and selfish, but they’re also too smart by half. In Eleceed, Jiwoo doesn’t need to suspect his cat is manipulating him because they are actively training Jiwoo to unlock his hidden power. With an anime adaptation scheduled for 2026 and an English-language physical release coming in January 2027, fans of the hit Webtoon are in for an exciting year.
Eleceed Vol. 1 hits shelves on January 17, 2027 and Inklore has just shared with us the cover for this new release. On it, we get to see Jiwoo and Kayden, the pair of heroes looking to save Seoul from other Awakened who threaten to plunge it into chaos. Kayden might look like an adorable orange cat, but he’s actually an extremely powerful and experienced human with the power of electricity who got trapped in the form of the biggest, chubbiest cat on the streets of Korea. He was taken in by Jiwoo. Aside from being a kind-hearted boy who spends his free time looking after stray cats, Jiwoo is also an Awakened with the power of superspeed, though his powers are undeveloped from a lifetime of trying to hide them.
Kayden takes it upon himself to teach Jiwoo everything he knows about being an Awakened, and together, the pair aim to protect the city and save every cat they find, both of which are equally important goals. The Webtoon hit is very much a buddy act, with both Jiwoo and Kayden needing the other to survive the dangerous world of Eleceed, which is why we’re glad to see the new cover for the first English print release features both of them in equal measure.
Eleceed Vol 1 is out on January 19, 2027 in the US. An anime adaptation of Eleceed is scheduled to be released later in 2026.
