We are rocketing closer to the final arc of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Earlier this year, Ufotable announced that they weren’t going to produce another season of the hit anime; instead, they would be transforming the final arc of the Demon Slayer manga into a trilogy of films. At the time, we didn’t know when these movies would be released. Now, we at least have a release window for the first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle movie.
The news came from Crunchyroll during CCXP in Brazil over the weekend. Along with a trailer that shows off the visuals from season four of Demon Slayer, we also get the news that anime fans around the world have been waiting for; the first film in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle trilogy will be out in 2025. That means we’ve got less than a year before the final chapter of Tanjiro and Nezuko’s journey begins.
Of course, those of us who follow the manga already have a pretty good idea of what is coming, but that doesn’t mean we’re not excited to see how Ufotable will bring it to life on the big screen. Crunchyroll has confirmed that they’ll be handling the worldwide release of the first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle movie. No release window has been announced for the final two movies in the trilogy.
Will these new Demon Slayer films match the box office power of Mugen Train, which became the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time? Probably not, but it is still likely to be a massive success and be one of the most exciting anime movies of 2025 when it is released.
