Scream 7 release date: When the next entry in the classic horror franchise arrives in theaters

The seventh Scream will feature plenty of returning characters.

The long-running Scream franchise is slashing its way back to theaters next year. Featuring the return of some of the horror series’ most famous stars, Scream 7 is sure to have fans talking. So, when can you expect the theatrical release date for Scream 7 to arrive?

The Scream 7 release date is February 27, 2026 in theaters. The movie will be released by Paramount Pictures. It has been several years since the previous entry in the franchise, Scream VI, was released in theaters in March 2023. And we don’t expect you to overlook the many other exciting theatrical release dates that are coming up in the next few months and years. An official trailer for Scream 7 has yet to be made available at this time.

Scream 7 will see the return of some of the franchises biggest stars. These include Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin, Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin, Roger L. Jackson as Ghostface’s voice, Isabel May as Prescott’s daughter, Joel McHale as Prescott’s husband Mark Evans and David Arquette as Dewey Riley. It has also been announced that Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley will be appearing in the movie. However, it is currently unclear what roles they will play, as their respective characters — Stu Macher and Roman Bridger — were killed in previous movies in the series. Meanwhile, two of the stars of 2022’s Scream and 2023’s Scream VI, Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter) and Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter) will not be returning for the franchise’s seventh outing.

The release date for Scream 7 in theaters is February 27, 2026.
