Sigourney Weaver had the entire Alien: Earth cast starstruck, they revealed at NYCC '25

Which is funny, if you think about it, because wasn't original Alien star Weaver *just* talking about how much she loved Noah Hawley's FX series?

Xenomorph fans made an absolute invasion (heh) of New York Comic Con 2025. Fans sporting their best Alien merch, chestburster cosplays, and even an eye midge or two, swarmed the Javits Center to listen to the cast of Alien: Earth speak at the "Fear Takes New Form" panel on the Empire Stage. The thing is, though, the biggest fans of the Alien franchise in the room might have actually been the folks speaking, and even if that wasn't the case, they certainly had the coolest fan experience.

That is, they were interviewed by Sigourney Weaver herself.

To be clear - it wasn't at this particular panel that the cast got to talk to Ellen Ripley, but it was there that they discussed the experience to the assembled crowd. The 'they' in question were, in no particular order, Sydney Chandler (Wendy), Alex Lawther (Joe Hermit), Samuel Blenkin (Boy Kavalier), and Babou Ceesay (Morrow), all of whom had grown up, in one way or another, with the original Alien movie. So as you can imagine, getting interviewed by Weaver was...

Well, in Babou Ceesay's words "Mind blowing."

"We didn't really answer any of her questions," said costar Blenkin, "Because she'd ask an amazing and insightful question, and then each one of us in turn would go 'You are incredible.' And she'd be like, 'Great, that doesn't answer the question.' We were all kind of stupefied that we were on a stage with this absolutely legendary actor. It was quite surreal for us."

Look, it's always adorable to see your favorite celebrities geek out about meeting their favorite celebrities, but this particular instance has a special influx of warm fuzzies. That's because, as you'll recall Popverse reporting on not long ago, Weaver herself recently spoke about her love for the Noah Hawley-directed series, even going so far as to point out what the show does better than the movies, in her opinion. I don't know about you, but as a big fan of everything mentioned in this article, I'm adoring this Alien love fest.

Don't Google that.
