Hazbin Hotel season 3 will be "most romantic" yet, says creator Vivienne Medrano
"It's my personal favorite part of the story," clarifies Medrano, and we'd bet that once the shippers get to see Hazbin Hotel season 3, she won't be alone in the sentiment

In case you haven't noticed, we're taking this week in Popverse to celebrate love. We're talking about our favorite relationships from all kinds of stories that have come before, from X-Men to Dragon Ball and everything in between. But if I could have your attention, I'd like to look ahead for just a moment, because according to the creator of one of the most popular animated shows on air right now, there's a lovey-dovey future headed to Hell itself.
At least, the kind of Hell we get in Hazbin Hotel.
The creator I'm talking about, as I probably don't need to tell you, Hellaverse fan, is Vivienne Medrano, occasionally known as VivziePop on these here internets. Medrano recently sat down with Polygon to chat about what was ahead for her raunchy musical comedy after the much-anticipated season 2, and during the discussion, got into the affairs-of-the-heart of it all.
"I've been pretty open that it's my personal favorite part of the story," Medrano tells the outlet, "So I am excited for people to see a season that is really emotional, in a lot of ways. It’s the most romantic season, which I love as a romance writer. I just love the dramatic, the angst, the twists and turns of season 3."
That said, Medrano also notes that there's another kind of relationship she's excited to explore for season 3. That is, the one between main character Charlie Morningstar and her father, Lucifer.
"I'm also just excited to put more focus on the Morningstar family," said the Helluva Boss creator, "They are some of my favorite characters in my universe, and I am really excited to explore more of them, because the first two seasons have been so granular, and have been about these external forces. So to pull season 3 a little bit more inward is something that I'm really looking forward to everyone seeing."
Hazbin Hotel seasons 1 and 2 are streaming now on Prime Video.
