The MCU's Daniel Brühl returns as Baron Zemo to build his own MTG Marvel Super Heroes deck
Daniel Brühl, the actor who plays Baron Zemo in the MCU, throws down with a Villain deck in Magic: The Gathering's German language trailer

It's about time that actor Daniel Brühl, who plays Baron Zemo in the MCU, got some recognition from Marvel for being a treasure to world cinema. Marvel fans were first introduced to Brühl in Captain America: Civil War and later crossed paths with him in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where he demonstrated his knowledge and appreciation of Marvin Gaye. But before he was in the MCU, Brühl established himself as one of the foremost German actors of his generation through films like Good Bye, Lenin! and The Edukators before achieving mainstream Hollywood success in films like Inglourious Basterds and Rush.
Now, Brühl takes center stage in a new German-language trailer for Magic: The Gathering's Marvel Super Heroes crossover set. And he even dons a comic-accurate Zemo outfit (sans the mask) while forming his own Villain deck. Check it out below.
Honestly, I hope everyone who makes a Villain deck from this set does so while embodying Zemo's entire vibe here (standing behind a bar, polishing glasses, etc.).
This isn't the first time that an MCU actor has collaborated with Magic for the Marvel Super Heroes set. At MagicCon: Las Vegas this year, Vision actor Paul Bettany came out and surprised the Main Stage audience. So who's to say who else is going to appear next? Will we get Willem Dafoe playing Magic any time soon? Let's hope.
