I'm not saying the Succession complete set on DVD is the better holiday gift. That's unsaid.

Then you might be interested in one of the biggest Black Friday 2023 deals running at the moment: the entire Succession series, one of HBO's biggest hits in recent memory, is now available on DVD for a remarkably low price during Black Friday.

Amazon has lowered the price of the Succession: The Complete Series DVD box set to $43.49 (down from $69.99). If you think that's not a huge slash to the price, consider that the show ended its run in May and that this DVD collection was released in September. That's 38% off quite fast.

Succession's synopsis reads as follows: "The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is complete. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed."

The show won 13 Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series in 2020 and 2022. On Rotten Tomatoes, Succession stands incredibly tall after its four-season run with a 95% approval rating, and it's hard not to come across someone relentlessly recommending this show to his friends and relatives. Maybe you're one of those people, so this looks like a solid opportunity to bring the whole thing home in case Max goes on another delisting spree for some weird reason. Listen to filmmakers like Christopher Nolan and Guillermo del Toro when they say that physical media is the only format which lasts forever.
