The Spring 2024 anime season is in full swing, but there is at least one big show that isn’t making its debut for a few weeks. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season four will have a release date during the season, but it is bucking tradition and starting more than a month after most of the other spring shows.
The fourth season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will focus on the Hashira Training arc from the manga, which is one of the last arcs before the story ramps up for its epic conclusion. We got a sneak peek at how this season would start during the To The Hashira Training movie earlier this year, but we’ll get to see more of this new story when Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season four starts on May 12, 2024, with new episodes airing weekly on Crunchyroll the same time they air in Japan. New episodes are expected to air at 11:15pm in Japan, which is 3:15 pm in the UK, 12:15 pm on the East Coast, and 9:15 am on the West Coast.
To make up for the long wait, the first episode of the new season will be a full hour long. This extended episode was the second half of the Demon Slayer: To The Hashira Training special. It will not only give us a proper introduction to the Hashira who lead the Demon Slayer Corps but will also deliver some important lore around the Demon Slayer marks that Tanjiro and others have unlocked.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season four will be released on May 12, 2024 on Crunchyroll, the same day it premieres in Japan. It will have some stiff competition from the rest of the Spring 2024 anime line-up, with My Hero Academia, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Kaiju No. 8 all fighting it out on the streaming site.
Slay on, Demon Slayer. As we prep for new installments of the Demon Slayer anime, here's a survival kit to help you. First, a guide to all the major Demon Slayer characters. Second, recommendations for how (and where) to watch all of Demon Slayer. Third, context of why Demon Slayer is so popular. Fourth, when we think Demon Slayer season 4 is coming out. And also, how Demon Slayer ends (at least in the manga).
And as a bonus, you can watch the full NYCC Demon Slayer panel with the voice cast.
