Do you remember Precious Moments? Those adorable little doll figurines with the big eyes that were viral collectors items in the '80s and '90s? What if you had that adorable vibe, but with your favorite superheroes?
I'm talking Dr. Doom on a seesaw by himself, Harley Quinn cuddling a Poison Ivy doll, Han Solo and Greedo sharing a milkshake, Michael Wernke has it all in original watercolor form at his artists alley table at this year's Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle. And Wernke takes commissions too, if you're looking for something that you can't quite find.
This humble reporter picked up a Superman and Batman watercolor and would highly recommend you swing by Wernke's table to give his art a looksee. You'll ooh and ahh, and maybe you'll find an original piece of art to bring home with you.
You can find Michael Wernke's work in Emerald City Comic Con's Artist Alley at table I-09. Check out our full listing of all of the artists tabling at Emerald City Comic Con 2024 here.
